Blackjack : How to Play and Rules Explanation

What is Blackjack?

Blackjack is a game played with four to six decks of playing cards, in which players bet on the value of their hands compared to the dealer’s hand. The objective is to achieve a total card value of 21 or as close to 21 as possible without exceeding it. Going over 21 or having a lower card value than the dealer’s results in a loss.

Blackjack originated in French casinos around the 1700s and later gained popularity in the United States. If a player is dealt an Ace of Spades and a Jack of any suit, they receive a bonus payout of 10 to 1.

Rules every beginner must know!

  1. Cards with values from 2 to 10 are counted at face value.

2. Cards J, Q, and K are valued at 10 points each.

3. The Ace can be counted as either 11 or 1.

4. If the total of cards exceeds 21, Ace is counted as 1 automatically.

5. Each player can draw up to 5 cards.

6. If the total exceeds 21, the player busts and loses the game.

10. The dealer compares their hand to each remaining player’s hand and pays out winnings accordingly. If the dealer busts, they pay out winnings to all remaining players.
